Wellness House Concert

That was a great concert! We all got lost but eventually found our way to the Wellness House in Burlington on the "second" Itabashi Way. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the show. I thought it was one of the best community concerts that we have ever performed! I am sure we all left with warm fuzzies after seeing all of the smiles that your music brought to the faces of our audience. I can't wait to do it again.

Everybody needs a parade.

What an awesome drum line. This group played for us at the opening ceremonies of the convention. Cymbals twirling, drums dancing, and sticks flying... I was so caught up in the energy and actual acrobatics that I didn't notice they were playing a percussion rendition of "Wild Thing" (Alycia brought this to my attention later that day.)

Welcome to the PS Music Box Blog

I just got back from a Kindermusik convention in North Carolina where I learned so much my head hurts! I was so lucky to listen to such a passionate and exuberant presentation by the wise and zany Ben Zander of Boston Philharmonic fame, and his "Sphinx-like" wife Ros Zander. I hope that I can pass along to you just a little bit of energy I received at this 5 day event. The most important thing that I brought home with me from the conference is the reassurance that what we do here at the Performance School of Music is so important to the lives of the children we serve. If every child on the planet began their life with 7 years of joyful learning and development through music we would have peace on this planet. Just a thought...
